Digital Banking Frequently Asked Questions
I’m a new Southland Member. When can I register for Digital Banking?
New registrations will be temporarily disabled starting August 31. New Members will be notified by email when new user registration for Digital Banking is open.
I forgot my username. What do I do?
Click “Forgot Username” on the login screen. After verifying your identity, your username will be presented to you.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click “Forgot Password” on the login screen. Verify your account information and identity, and a temporary passcode will be sent to you via email or text message. Return to the login screen and use your temporary passcode to login. From there, you will be prompted to create a new password.
What are the password requirements for Digital Banking?
Your password must be at least eight characters in length, contain at least one lowercase letter, at least one uppercase letter, at least one special character, and at least one number.
How far back does my transaction history go?
Initially, you will be able to search over two years of transaction history in Digital Banking. Please navigate to eStatements to view more than two years of history.
Can I download my statement or transaction history as a plain text file (e.g. TXT or CSV) or into a spreadsheet (e.g. MS Excel)?
Yes, Digital Banking supports an export of your transaction history in CSV, OFX, QFX and QBO file formats.
How do I download my account information into Quicken?
- Log in to Digital Banking and navigate to Accounts.
- Choose an Account and click the down arrow icon underneath the Search bar, and above the word "DESCRIPTION" right above your transactions list.
- Choose your file format, start date & end date (of transactions) and select the accounts you wish to include.
- Click download.
What browsers are supported?
Digital Banking supports the last two versions of the browsers listed below:
Android: v6.0 and higher
Firefox: Latest two versions
Google Chrome: Latest two versions
Internet Explorer: v11*
IOS: Last two major versions
Microsoft Edge: Latest two versions
Safari: Last two major versions
*Limited Support: Some functionality may not work as expected. End users with IE 11 as their browser will still be able to access essential functionality of Digital Banking.
How do I enter my date of birth when registering or retrieving my username on an Android device?
To enter your date of birth on an Android device, first tap the year at the top of the calendar. From here, you can quickly scroll through the year list to your birth year. Once you select your birth year, you can select your birth month and date.
I see “Link External Accounts” with logos from other financial institutions on my Accounts Dashboard. What does this do?
Digital Banking allows you to link your accounts from other financial institutions so you can view all your account balances and transactions in one place! Click Get Started on the dashboard to link your accounts. Once linked, your accounts will show on your Accounts Dashboard, and you’ll be able to view your balances and transactions. You’ll even be able to use your external account information in the Budgets widget. Link External Accounts is a view-only feature. To transfer money to and from an external account, head to the Transfers widget and click “Add an account to make a transfer.”
Where do I find the Settings menu?
On desktop, click the down arrow next to your name in the top right corner of the screen. On mobile, tap More, then tap the gear icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
How do I activate Face ID?
- On your mobile device, log in to your account on the Southland CU mobile app.
- Tap More.
- Tap the gear icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap Face ID.
- Tap the toggle to move it to the green or ON position.
- You will be able to use Face ID the next time you log in. Click the Face icon at the bottom of the login screen to use Face ID.
Are mobile deposits available?
Yes! Mobile deposits are available in the Southland mobile app after your Membership has been established for 30 days. To use mobile deposits, select Mobile Deposit in the main menu and follow the on-screen instructions. Please note our Mobile Branch Agreement and Funds Availability Policy.
Can I use Southland Bill Pay on my mobile phone?
Yes, you can use Bill Pay on the Southland CU mobile app. On the mobile app, you can make a payment, view your scheduled payments, and view your payment history. To add or edit a payee on mobile, tap Manage Payees. MultiPay is not available on mobile.
How do I activate Account Snapshot (formerly Fast Balances)?
Quickly view your account balances without logging in by enabling Snapshot.
- On your mobile device, log in to your account on the Southland CU mobile app.
- Tap More.
- Tap the gear icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap Snapshot.
- Slide the toggle button to the green ON position.
- Select the accounts you wish to include in account snapshot by sliding the toggle buttons to ON.
What phones are supported, and where is the mobile app available?
You can find the Southland CU mobile app in the Google Play Store for Android devices, and the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
