Merger updates
April 10, 2024: Allied Healthcare Federal Credit Union Members voted overwhelmingly in favor of the merger.
May 1, 2024: The merger is effective as of this date. Allied Healthcare Federal Credit Union will operate as Allied Healthcare Credit Union, a Division of Southland Credit Union.

Why are the credit unions merging?
We are confident that a combined credit union will bring greater strength and competitive advantages that will better serve our Members and communities in terms of lower loan rates, higher dividend rates and an increased branch distribution network. This partnership will ensure continued stability for both credit unions and better position the combined credit union for future growth.
What happens to my Allied Healthcare accounts as of May 1?
Your account details will remain unchanged for the time being. Please proceed with your banking activities as usual until our systems are integrated. Until February 1, 2025, Allied Healthcare Credit Union will operate as a division of Southland Credit Union.
What happens on February 1, 2025?
The Allied Healthcare and Southland banking systems will merge by this date. Members will receive updates with detailed information about what to expect prior to this date.
Can I service my Allied Healthcare accounts at a Southland branch?
Since both credit unions are part of the CO-OP Shared Branch Network, you can perform some transactions at Southland branches where Shared Branch transactions are available. Note that you will not be able to perform all types of transactions on your Allied Healthcare accounts at a Southland branch until after February 1, 2025.
Can I service my Southland accounts at an Allied Healthcare branch?
You can perform some CO-OP Shared Branch transactions at an Allied Healthcare branch today, however full access to your accounts will not be available at an Allied Healthcare branch until after February 1, 2025.
Will all employees of Allied Healthcare be retained in the merger?
Yes. Southland will be retaining all the employees of Allied Healthcare, and the branches will continue to serve Members.
