Branch closing

At Southland Credit Union, every decision we make is guided by our commitment to serving Members with care, convenience and long-term value.

After careful evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close our St. John’s Express Branch. Our last day of service will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026. This was not a decision we made lightly. We reviewed Member traffic, operating costs, accessibility and how Members are choosing to bank today. Based on that review, we determined that consolidating this location will allow us to better invest in the services and technology our Members use most.

We understand this change may be meaningful for Members who use the St. John’s Express Branch. Southland will continue to provide convenient access nearby, at our full-service branch location with free underground parking only one mile away at 525 Santa Monica Blvd.

Free Member parking is available under building. Enter from alley off Arizona Ave.

In addition, by the end of July 2026, we will be upgrading the ATM currently located on the first floor of the hospital so it can accept deposits, providing another convenient option for Members who work at or visit St. John’s. Southland Members also have access to the CO-OP network of ATMs and Shared Branches for added convenience.  

Banking has changed. Members now expect fast, flexible access to their accounts, whether they are at work, at home or on the go. Southland is responding by investing in a stronger digital experience.

Through Southland’s Digital Banking app, you can check balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, pay bills, make loan payments, manage cards and monitor account activity. These tools provide greater convenience, expanded access and more control over everyday financial needs.

Our goal is not to move away from personal service. It is to make personal service easier to reach for the employees of Providence St. John’s Health Center and our Members. 

We are committed to making this transition with transparency, care and support. Southland will continue to serve you through our nearby Santa Monica branch, Digital Banking, phone support and the upgraded ATM at Providence St. John’s Health Center.
